Dear all,

First of all, we like to thank all the coordinators and speakers of the multiple speaker formats: preconference workshops and symposia, focussed and mini-symposia, instructional courses and seminars. We received 200 high-level submissions and we are lucky that we could offer space to around 120 teams with fantastic international and interdisciplinary speakers and stakeholders.

The result is not only a comprehensive main congress but also a most fascinating preconference program with 6 full day and 15 half day conferences on 24th/ 25th June 2025 including the “Who is Who” of Childhood-onset disability. This time, full-day and half-day conferences have most distinguished international and interdisciplinary speakers from up to 5 continents. Thus, it will be a great opportunity to meet world experts. It is even more spectacular that the pre-conferences will be offered not only in Heidelberg but also at the UNESCO heritage monastery of Maulbronn incl. free transfer and catering. This was made possible by gracious financial support of the Child Centre Maulbronn.

Another hot news: we are more than happy that we have just received 1011 Orals and poster submissions by 784 presenters from 71 countries. This is unbelievable! We are working intensively to give feedback before Christmas to help with early booking as good price offers are likely to be sold out soon.

A huge THANK YOU to every presenter and his/her group but also a big thank you to all reviewers and numerous committee members, esp. to Ros Boyd and Christian Schaaf as Vice-Presidents and Sebastian Schroeder as Chair of the Scientific Committee. Please follow the media managed by Christian Schaaf, Moritz Mall and recently also by Alvaro Hidalgo.

We greatly appreciate all your work.

Best regards
Rainer Blank, President EACD-IAACD 2025
